Hi! My name is Lois Rasure.  I work for SAFECO Insurance Company in their Commercial Lines Department , as well as being an avid hobby genealogist, and part time web page designer.

I came from a small area in northern Michigan more than 15 years ago to the state of Texas, and was most impressed with the sense of "family" that surrounds me there.

And when I began to have grandchildren, it made me stop and think that I didn't know much about my ancestry to be able to tell them if they asked.

Thus began my interest in genealogy. And I am just a beginner. I must give much thanks to my dear friend, Gail Wagner, for all her help and support. Without her, I would still be back looking for the first step. Or I would have given up in frustration at not knowing where to begin.

Seeking to further my horizons, both in work and education, we have moved to Seattle, where we are nearer our children, and are enjoying the good life on the west coast.

Here is my humble beginnings at searching for my roots. Check back often, because I will be updating, and refreshing my page. You never know who you might find here -- and neither do I! That's the fun of family searching!!
